The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services issued an alert this week to Hudson Valley residents regarding the residency of 33-year-old Rene Ocasio, who has reported a move from the Ulster County Jail to a residence on Henry Street in Kingston.

Ocasio's new home is near the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ulster County, the YMCA of Kingston and Ulster County, the Ulster Performing Arts Center, the Kingston Public Library and George Washington Elementary School.

The Division of Criminal Justice Services has assigned Ocasio as a level two threat, which means he is at "moderate risk of a repeat offense."

According to the Division of Criminal Justice Services, Ocasio committed his crim in February 2016 and he was convicted of sexual misconduct for having intercourse with another person without consent in June that year. He was sentenced to a term of 12 years in local jail and is now under the jurisdiction of the Kingston City Police Department.
